This premium organic compost is rich in plant nutrients & carbon and teeming with billions of beneficial soil microorganisms! The average analysis is 1.3% N, 0.7% P, 1.1% K, giving an NPK Ratio of 2-1-1. This analysis is higher than regular composted horse manure due to the diet of these horses and the composting and production process.
Their manure, which is collected daily from their individual stalls, is a product of premium hay, alfalfa, and specially formulated Thoroughbred Horse feed. The nitrogen/nutrient-rich urine in the stall which is captured by the bedding material is also part of the raw materials as well. All this material is then mixed together, thoroughly composted, then dried, shredded, and screen-sifted. The final product is dense and nutrient-rich!
This compost is produced in our South Texas desert climate, so it is never leached of nutrients by rainfall like some composts are that are produced in areas of high rainfall.
After going through the complete composting process, what is left is rich, dark, odor-free, organic compost ready to use on all plants and soils.
We package the compost according to volume instead of weight, so the moisture content of the compost will vary slightly affecting the weight. Our 1 Gallon of compost is bagged and shipped in a Priority Mail Flat Rate Padded Envelope (9.5" x 12.5").  Each package is well packed and stuffed with as much compost as we can get into the bag, so you get the most bang for your buck! Average weight is 3 - 5 lbs.
