    Perfect for African Violets, other gesneriads and begonias
    PJ’s Potting Soil Mix
    This is a mix of peat moss (60-65%) and medium grade perlite ((35-40%). We have found this mix to be excellent for both top or bottom watering and for our wicked plants (African violets, other gesneriads, and begonias).
    Quality potting soils should have two characteristics. They must be formulated to maintain the proper balance of water and air and are pH adjusted. PJ’s mix will hold water, retain air, provide mechanical support for roots and are pH adjusted (5.5-6.5) to provide the proper chemical environment for your plants. pH controls the availability of plant nutrients to a plant.
